Galatasaray Takes Turkish Super Cup After Bizarre Fenerbahce Match

Chaos Erupts in Super Cup Final

Fenerbahce Withdraws, Galatasaray Declared Winner

The Turkish Super Cup ended in chaos on Sunday after only 101 seconds when Fenerbahce players walked off the pitch in protest. The match, which was being played in Sanliurfa, was abandoned after Fenerbahce refused to continue following a controversial penalty decision in favor of Galatasaray.

Galatasaray had been awarded the penalty after Fenerbahce goalkeeper Berke Ozer was adjudged to have fouled Galatasaray forward Bafetimbi Gomis. Ozer was sent off for the challenge, and Galatasaray captain Radamel Falcao converted the penalty to give his side the lead.

However, Fenerbahce players were furious with the decision, claiming that Ozer had not fouled Gomis. They walked off the pitch in protest, and the match was abandoned.

Galatasaray was subsequently declared the winner of the Super Cup. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) released a statement saying that Fenerbahce had forfeited the match by refusing to continue playing.

The incident has caused widespread controversy in Turkey. Fenerbahce fans have accused Galatasaray of cheating, while Galatasaray fans have defended their team's victory.

The TFF has opened an investigation into the incident. It is expected to announce its findings in the coming days.
